A revolutionary combination of two aesthetic procedures for more natural-looking breast appearance
The increase i.e. breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that has been performed for decades and as such is considered one of the most common aesthetic procedures in clinics around the world.
According to data from 2022, over 2.2 million women opted for aesthetic breast augmentation, which makes this procedure convincingly in first place among all surgical procedures.
With the development of aesthetic medicine, surgeons around the world are trying to improve techniques that would make breasts as natural as possible and without emphasizing that it is a surgical enlargement.
One of these techniques is hybrid breast augmentation, which combines breast augmentation with implants with lipofilling therapy.
Together, these two procedures will create a very natural breast appearance, and the subsequent injection of fat tissue will serve to even out any asymmetries and unevenness in the size, structure or sagging of the breasts.
Hybrid breast augmentation provides the best of two worlds – the volume obtained by implants, and the equally proportional and natural shape of the breasts obtained by lipofilling treatment.
Hybrid breast augmentation stands out from related surgical procedures due to the following advantages:
Hybrid breast augmentation alleviates the disproportionality and artificial appearance that can be caused by silicone implants. By transferring fat cells to the breasts, the surgeon can soften the edges of the implant and smooth the curves of the breasts for a more natural appearance.
With hybrid breast augmentation, the surgeon has more options to even out asymmetries. By transferring fat to exactly the desired areas, it is possible to even out the differences that existed before the increase, and which could affect the self-confidence of a woman.
Since the transfer of adipose tissue is also involved in the creation of volume, there is no need to use larger implants. In addition, the use of smaller implants will ensure a more natural appearance, and will leave more flexibility for the correction of asymmetries with adipose tissue.
The use of smaller implants reduces the risk of rupture, and the additional fat tissue will serve as protection against external mechanical factors that could affect the life of the implant.
In surgical procedures that involve larger implants, the so-called dual-plane technique is performed, which involves placing the implant under the pectoral muscles. Although this method provides greater safety of the implant, which will have muscle tissue protection around it, we must take into account that the surgeon still has to cut the muscle tissue for successful implant placement.
In the hybrid method, it is enough to place the implant under the adipose tissue of the breast, which provides a much safer outcome of the operation, faster recovery and a lower risk of complications.
In addition to breast augmentation, this hybrid method involves removing fat deposits from areas such as the abdomen, hips, thighs or some other area where there is excess fat. In this way, the dual function of the procedure is achieved: the removal of unwanted fat for an emphasized slim figure and the transfer of fat tissues to targeted areas.
This procedure is a big step forward because it brings with it a new perception of surgical procedures, which which were previously seen as excessive or unnatural
Hybrid breast augmentation is a procedure for all women who are trying to improve their appearance, raise their self-confidence and change the image around their own appearance.
Hybrid breast augmentation techniques change this attitude, and the results of surgeries have proven to be extremely effective, adding volume to the breasts, but also naturalness that makes the distinction between natural and aesthetically obtained breasts almost imperceptible.
With this in mind, candidates for this procedure can be:
In order for the operation and recovery to pass without complications, it is necessary to adhere to certain guidelines:
You should stop activities such as smoking 4-6 weeks before the procedure. The harmful effects of smoking could delay recovery and cause unwanted bleeding during the procedure.
Drugs that work on blood coagulation should be stopped 2 weeks before surgery. This includes medications such as Aspirin, Andol or some herbal preparations that slow down blood clotting and increase the risk of bleeding.
Antibacterial soap is used the day before the procedure and on the day of surgery to reduce any chances of infection.
Eight hours before the operation, you should not eat or drink anything. The effects of general anesthesia can make you nauseous, which is why it is necessary to come to the operation on an empty stomach.
In addition to precautionary measures, we also conduct consultations with you where we get acquainted with the medical history and possible allergies that we should pay attention to.
We discuss your wishes and preferences with you and advise you on the option that would be best for your appearance, but also for your health condition.
Hybrid breast augmentation can be divided into three stages:
The surgeon performs liposuction by making a small incision in the abdomen, thigh, or some other area. Through the resulting incision, the surgeon collects adipose tissue, which is later stored and centrifuged. The fat tissue will later be used to enlarge the breasts.
After liposuction, the surgeon begins with incisions around the breast area. Depending on the surgeon’s assessment and preference, an incision can be made under the breast, around the lower edge of the nipple, or under the armpit, where the scar will be almost barely visible.
The surgeon then places sutures to close the incision, and moves on to the last stage of the operation – injection of adipose tissue.
The surgeon injects fat cells into those areas with visible asymmetry, but also those areas that are protruding or irregular due to the silicone implant that presses on the surface of the skin.
In addition, fat cells need to be injected close to the blood supply areas, so that the tissue can be retained and adapted with the rest of the area.
Hybrid breast augmentation lasts from 2-3 hours, and the operation is performed under the action of general anesthesia.
After the operation, you will spend the night in the polyclinic. The effect of general anesthesia can affect your condition, which will make you need to spend the night in a recovery room as a preventive measure.
After the procedure, you can expect a feeling of pain, bruising, swelling, and shortness of breath and pressure in the chest are also possible.
For a speedy recovery, you will get a compression bra that will reduce swelling. The bra should be worn for a minimum of 4 weeks after surgery.
Light physical activities are possible 2-3 weeks after the procedure, and higher intensity activities are possible 6 weeks after surgery.
According to the surgeon’s assessment, it is also possible to install drainage, but only during recovery in the polyclinic.
Due to the intense pain, you may be receive a strong painkiller that will relax the tissue and relieve you in the first hours after surgery.
In the next month, you will come for check-ups so that the surgeon can check the speed of recovery.
You are allowed to return to work 7-10 days after the operation. However, it is necessary not to overdo it and avoid sudden movements of the torso, which could cause the stitches to reopen
If the recovery is going in the right direction, after 4-6 weeks you should remove the stitches and continue with your daily activities.
If the operation was carried out correctly and if you followed all the precautions, the chances of developing complications are low. However, if you notice any of the following side effects, contact us as soon as possible, or visit a general practitioner:
In addition to the above complications, slightly milder side effects are possible, which pass 4-6 weeks after the procedure. One such side effect is capsular contraction, which occurs when tissue heals around a foreign body.
You will recognize a capsular contraction by the hardness of the breasts, discomfort and mild pain.
