An innovative solution for skin tightening and rejuvenation
The Co2 is a fractional ablative laser for skin rejuvenation and tightening, removal of scars and stretch marks, and for tightening excess eyelid skin and other procedures in dermatology and plastic surgery.
The Candela Co2 fractional laser is the gold standard when it comes to non-surgical skin tightening, wrinkle removal, scarring, hyperpigmentation and stretch marks.
The Candela Co2 laser is a multifunctional device used in aesthetic medicine, dermatology and plastic surgery.
The CO2 laser provides fast, visible, and lasting results. It contains four special levels of operation and is therefore completely adapted to the individual needs of patients. With this laser, we target various skin changes with extreme precision, while leaving the surrounding, healthy tissue intact. This achieves faster healing of the skin and accelerates the recovery period.
What makes the CO2 laser unique is the use of a dual wavelenght laser wave that treats both the surface layer of the skin (epidermis) and the deeper layer of the skin (dermis) at the same time – for these reasons it is called an integrated laser.
An ablative treatment is performed with a laser, during which a thin, upper layer of damaged skin is removed. After that, the laser creates micro channels in the deeper layers of the skin, and by heating the tissues, the production of collagen and new skin cells is stimulated. The laser beams penetrate to the desired depth of the damaged layer and have a targeted effect exclusively on the damaged skin. Healthy surrounding tissue remains intact, which allows the skin to heal faster, but also shortens the recovery period.
The result of the CO2 laser is a fast, comfortable and safe treatment with a shorter recovery time.
The CO2 laser contains 4 different levels of work that allow the treatment of various skin changes. The work of the laser is adapted to the indications and needs of the patient.
Due to the exceptional capabilities of the laser itself, the spectrum of skin changes and conditions that the CO2 laser can effectively treat is really wide:
Do you have skin damage from the sun – hyperpigmentation? Dark spots? Age spots or shallow wrinkles and fine lines on the face? Sagging and inelastic skin? Rougher skin texture or scarring? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you are an ideal candidate for this treatment.
The fractional CO2 laser will provide you with smoother, healthier and rejuvenated skin, without a long recovery period.
Solar radiation is one of the most common causes of premature skin aging, the appearance of wrinkles and minor skin damages and spots. The fractional CO2 laser builds new collagen in the skin, but also acts as an exfoliator. Depending on the degree of skin damage and the presence of pigmentation, the intensity of the treatment is adjusted.
The results are quickly visible, photodamage is less noticeable, the complexion is even, and the texture of the skin is visibly improved.
In patients with mature skin, it is possible to slightly tighten the skin, as well as remove excess skin of the lower and upper eyelids. Results similar to those of surgery are achieved, but this treatment is non-invasive and less painful.
Due to the strong stimulation of the deeper layers of the skin, new collagen is produced. These fibers create a supportive network of the skin, it becomes tighter, and wrinkles are smoothed.
The best effects are achieved in removing wrinkles around the eyes and above the lips.
One of the solutions for treating and treating acne scars is a CO2 laser. Only one treatment gives good results, while 3 treatments give completely satisfactory effects.
All other types of scars can be treated equally successfully – keloids, burn scars, after surgery.
The laser makes microscopic channels in the skin, penetrates the deepest layers and helps with collagen regeneration. The length of recovery takes about 14 days.
Laser stretch mark removal is certainly the most modern and effective therapy.
Red, pink or pale scars most often form on the abdomen, buttocks, hips or thighs due to a decrease in the elasticity of the skin and the breakage of fibers in its middle layer, the dermis.
Candela CO2 acts on the deeper layers of the skin. It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which leads to a decrease in the depth of stretch marks, a change in their color and less visibility.
Stretch marks become lighter and gradually merge with the color of the rest of the skin. Younger stretch marks are easier to remove, while older and thicker stretch marks are more difficult to alleviate. Most often, several treatments are required to achieve a satisfactory result.
Before you come for treatment with a fractional CO2 laser, it is necessary to avoid direct exposure to the sun 3-4 weeks before. A month before the treatment, do not do chemical peels, TCA, SkinPen, biorevitalization, PRP or some other laser treatments.
Also, if the patient is undergoing therapy, it is necessary to emphasize this to the doctor.
Before the treatment itself, the skin needs to be cleansed and an anesthetic cream is applied to the patient. Burning and mild discomfort can be felt during laser treatment, especially when the laser penetrates deeper into the skin
The recovery time of the treated area lasts from a few days to about ten days, depending on the intensity or mode used during operation of the CO2 laser. Skin sensitivity is possible and it is necessary to take proper care of it.
Peeling of the skin lasts up to a week, while by the tenth day the redness recedes. With more intensive treatments, redness can last up to 3 weeks, but it can be covered with makeup.
In certain cases and after more intensive treatments, the appearance of smaller swellings is possible, which is normal and not a cause for concern.
3 weeks after the treatment, it is necessary to avoid the sun, do not go to the solarium, swimming pools or sauna. 2 or 3 months after the treatment, it is MANDATORY to apply a face cream with a high protection factor.
A CO2 laser gives results after one or two treatments.
The number of treatments often depends on the problem we are treating. If it is a facial rejuvenation, often only 1 treatment is enough, and if it is an advanced sign of aging, 2 or 3 treatments are needed.
For acne, at least 3 treatments are needed for visible results, and for photodamage or hyperpigmentation, often only 1 treatment is enough.
When it comes to stretch marks, especially older stretch marks, 5 or 6 treatments are needed.
The results achieved with the CO2 laser are mostly permanent! However, there are factors that can affect the longevity of the results, such as: the quality and condition of the skin, the age of the patient, but also the level of damage that needs to be removed.
The main goal of LF Polyclinic is to improve the quality of life and health of our clients by providing them with top-notch healthcare services.
