Over the past ten years, the LF research team has found that some headaches with various symptoms, including migraine-like ones, can be caused by a pinched nerve in different parts of the head and neck – frontal, temporal, cervical.
It is important to note that our team of doctors found that these headaches can be relieved in more than 90 percent of cases with a new, minimally invasive surgical treatment – popularly referred to as “migraine surgery”.
This procedure involves decompression of the branches of the peripheral nerve of different parts of the face and neck (frontal, temporal, cervical), which are the triggers for a migraine attack.

Symptoms of headache

Patients with this type of headache suffer from:

  • frequent occurrence of headaches (>15 days a month),
  • severe pain, 6-10 according to the visual analogue scale,
  • described as localized pressure or tension in the area of pain,
  • Depending on the type, these can be: chronic migraines, chronic tension headaches

Headache is caused by pinching of various nerves, these are:

  • frontal – supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves,
  • temporal – zygomatic-tempo

Headache treatment

About 15 years ago in the United States, it was discovered quite by accident that a procedure in plastic surgery, called endoscopic eyebrow lift, can reduce severe pain in chronic migraine.

Our team participated in the writing of a professional book on this topic: Atlas of Surgical Therapy for Migraine and Tension-Type headache, which was published in 2020.

Surgical treatment of headaches is based on reducing the pressure of sensory nerves by endoscopic means, popularly called migraine surgery. Endoscopic surgery means minimal invasiveness and a quick recovery for the patient.
