We most often associate rejuvenation procedures with those parts of the body that we think will be noticed first when we interact with other people. Most often it is the area of the face and neck. Hand rejuvenation used to be a challenge in modern medicine, but, with the latest techniques and preparations, it is now possible.

Due to the lack of subcutaneous fat, the skin on the hands is subject to changes such as dryness, cracking, the development of wrinkles and fine lines and other phenomena.

At the Lohuis Filipović Polyclinic, we therefore carry out a series of minimally invasive and modern procedures to rejuvenate your hands, restoring your skin’s elasticity, smoothness and overall collagen replenishment, the lack of which has made your hands look older.

Depending on our assessment, but also the wishes of our clients, we have laser treatments, microneedling therapy, chemical peels, mesotherapy, collagen stimulators, fillers, skinboosters, as well as many other procedures that successfully regenerate and rejuvenate your skin on your hands.

There are a number of factors that can alter the texture and appearance of your skin, and the skin on your hands is particularly sensitive and exposed.

Resurfx Stellar M22

With this non-ablative fractional laser, in addition to the face and neck, we can rejuvenate all other parts of the body, including the hands.

The laser beam penetrates into the deeper layer of the skin and extremely stimulates cells to produce new collagen and elastin. This laser also works to reduce hyperpigmentation. The treatment promotes the formation of smoother, more beautiful and more elastic skin with minimal recovery time.

Q switch Nd:YAG Stellar M22

We use the treatment exclusively to treat hyperpigmentation, such as age spots or sun spots.

The laser beam penetrates the deepest layers of the skin to target changes in the pigment melanin . Under the influence of the laser beam, the pigment heats up and disappears from the skin in the weeks after the treatment.

CO2 Laser

A dermatological laser with a strong effect that extremely stimulates the skin to produce new collagen. The laser tightens the skin, softens fine lines and eliminates hyperpigmentation.

IPL Treatment

Intense pulsed light allows us to quickly and painlessly even out the skin color, alleviate hyperpigmentation and, to a certain extent, stimulate the skin to produce new collagen.

IPL is a good option for combination with other treatment modalities, for example in combination with the Resurfx laser in the so-called “photofabulous” treatment. This treatment encompasses multiple effects such as skin rejuvenation, collagen formation, and elimination of hyperpigmentation.

We use skinbooster therapy to apply various cocktails of vitamins and minerals to the skin, which we try to stimulate skin hydration, elasticity and smoothness.

By introducing vitamins into the deeper layers, collagen production is stimulated, subcutaneous tissue is strengthened and circulation is improved.

We use boosters from proven manufacturers who have been developing new methods for skin rejuvenation and restoration of a youthful appearance for years, such as RRS, Profhilo and Jalupro.

Biorevitalization involves the process of taking platelet-rich blood plasma that is injected into the desired area to stimulate the process of revitalization and rejuvenation of the skin.

Unlike PRP treatments , which are now a standard procedure of many polyclinics, at the Lohuis Filipović Polyclinic we carry out a special, improved version of this treatment – Exokine.

Exokine therapy not only uses the extraction of platelet-rich blood plasma, but goes a step further, synthesizing pure proteins that serve as a growth factor. These isolated proteins form a special serum that is injected into the desired area for the fastest possible tissue renewal and rejuvenation.

Fillers based on hyaluronic acid have been used for years to rejuvenate the skin. This compound binds moisture to the surrounding area, which is why it is one of the primary solutions for adequate hydration of the skin.

By using fillers in the area of the hands, we restore lost volume and reduce the prominence of veins that become more pronounced with age.

The procedure of injecting hyaluronic fillers is minimally invasive and completely painless, and the effect of hyaluronic acid is visible on the first day after the treatment.

The effect of the filler gradually weakens 3-6 months after the treatment, which is why it needs to be repeated once or twice a year.

Collagen stimulators, such as Radiesse or Sculptra, restore volume and youthful appearance to your skin in a minimally invasive way. Radiesse (calcium hydroxyapatite) and Sculptra (poly-l-lactic acid) stimulate the cells in our skin – fibroblasts to produce new collagen. The results are more permanent and completely natural.

Chemical peels stimulate skin cells to regenerate, accelerate cell turnover and, depending on the strength of the chemical peel, reduce and remove hyperpigmentation.

The skin becomes more elastic and smoother, and the complexion is more even. Treatments usually include a series of milder chemical peels or one to two more intense chemical peels that will speed up tissue revitalization.

Microneedles and any microtrauma that occurs during the treatment, stimulates the natural processes of healing and renewal – new collagen is formed.

During the treatment itself, various boosters can also be used, which penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin using microneedles.

Thus, we have boosters available for hydration, brightening, scar relief, etc.

Microneedling treatment is usually repeated 3 times at intervals of 4 weeks.
