After the implant is adjusted, the surgeon will close the incision with stitches. If the incision was made inside the oral cavity, you may have degradable sutures that will dissolve over time.
Plastic surgery of the chin usually lasts about an hour, and after the general anesthesia stops, we let you go to home care.
Recovery and the occurrence of possible complications after chin correction can vary from person to person. These are some of the most common conditions, but also the guidelines that you should follow after the procedure:
Swelling and bruising are normal after this type of surgery and can usually last for several days. We recommend applying compresses that will help reduce swelling and bruising.
After the anesthesia wears off, you may feel pain and discomfort that can last up to several days. During this time, it is necessary to take painkillers and rest until the pain subsides.
Eating mushy and preferably less warm food is recommended for the first 2-3 days after the procedure.
Since this is a surgical procedure, the possibility of infection should not be ruled out. You will receive antibiotics for a few days after surgery.
During recovery, it is recommended to avoid intense physical activities, especially those that could cause new blows and trauma to the operated area. You can expect a return to such activities 2-3 weeks after surgery.
