specialist in anesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care medicine
Dragana Markotić graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and specialized in anesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 2013, she received the recognition of the qualification of Doctor of Medicine in the Republic of Croatia and has been a member of the Croatian Medical Chamber since then. In 2019, she received the academic recognition of the higher education qualification of Doctor of Medicine for the purpose of enrolling in postgraduate specialist studies and completed her training and final exam in anesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care medicine in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia.
After that, she specialized in the narrower field of cardiovascular surgery and intensive care of patients with cardiovascular diseases. During her specialization and later as a specialist physician, she actively worked as a member of the team at the Institute of Emergency Medicine of the Republic of Croatia.
She also works as a member of the team for education in the field of emergency medicine (BLS and ALS). She participates as an expert associate in the WHO and Mayo Clinic multimodal tele-education for intervention and rapid dissemination of knowledge in the intensive treatment of diseases related to COVID-19. She is the local champion and primary investigator in the international clinical collaboration for the Discovery VIRUS COVID-19 registry and the international clinical study CERTAIN.
She participates in numerous national and international professional conferences and is an active member of the Croatian Society of Anesthesiology, Reanimatology and Intensive Care Medicine (HDARIM). She has been working as an anesthesia specialist at the Lohuis Filipović Medical Group clinic since April 2023.
